My little has been bothering me non stop about making red velvet brownies. She is going through some sort of dessert crisis where the only thing she wants to eat is red velvet. I am not usually a fan because I think it tastes like normal cake with red food dye. But when she showed me this recipe for red velvet brownies, I couldn’t pass them up.
The brownies are melt-in-your-mouth, gooey and delicious. But they also are very red velvet-y. In case you aren’t familiar with that adjustive I’ll elaborate. They don’t have an overly chocolatey flavor, but have the exact same texture as a good brownie. Pretty out of this world. The recipe I used suggested a white chocolate frosting but I used left over cream cheese frosting from the cake I made. Red velvet definitely needs to have cream cheese frosting in my opinion. You can’t have one without the other.
So please make these asap. Even if you aren’t a huge red velvet fan like me, you will change your mind as soon as you sink your teeth in.
