I’m trying to use up the ingredients in my fridge before I pack up and leave for study abroad in Paris! Unfortunately I can’t use it all so if someone wants absurd amounts of baking supplies or half used condiments send a message my way. (I was kidding about the last one unless someone actually has a desire for an opened bottle of general taos).
This week I made peanut butter and chocolate fudge. This recipe literally uses 2 pounds (8 cups) of powdered sugar which could either be a really amazing thing if you love sugar like me, or a really horrible thing if you are trying to prevent holiday weight gain (just give in already you only live once).
The outcome was delicious, creamy and incredibly easy fudge! Nothing beats the combination of peanut butter and chocolate.
I would definitely make this again because it uses household ingredients instead of marshmallow fluff or condensed milk like other recipes. My parents don’t necessarily appreciate all the money I have spent on baking ingredients, so I felt obligated to use up what I had (you’re welcome mom and dad). You just have to make sure to keep the fudge refrigerated because the butter can melt, that’s the only down side.
