One of my favorite activities is making imitations of commercial products. I love creating homemade snickers bars or attempting my take on Oreos. After accidentally buying crunchy peanut butter (I’m a peanut butter purest, only creamy Jif) I decided I’d put the inedible product to good use and bake it into cookies. I settled on homemade Nutter Butters, thinking I could improve upon the original by making a softer cookie. They turned out great, with the same flavor and superior texture. And the peanut shape, although time consuming, looks pretty adorable. Find the cookie recipe at Sugar and Spice and the frosting recipe from Cookies and Cups.
