Chocolate chip cookie cheesecake bars

Although these cheesecake bars look ingredient heavy and labor intensive, don’t be fooled. The recipe suggests using packaged cookie dough mix, which I am actually all about. I’m sure there are a lot of bakers out there who shun packaged products. But I happen to believe cookie and brownie mixes make pretty great treats. After all, it’s only premixed sugar and flour, how can manufacturers f#%* that up, amiright? The key to packaged desserts is substituting butter for oil. Betty Crocker mixes are quintessential American, so go ahead, cut out a few baking steps, do your American civic duty, and buy packaged cookie dough for these cheesecake bars.
